Events

  • As thanks for providing FREE ham certificates to his men the commanding Officer of the USS San Antonio sent Dan Doyle, GM of Omni's Norfolk office, this picture and a hand-written note of appreciation.

  • Omni's GM, Dan Doyle, was proud to distribute $15.00 turkey certificates pre Thanksgiving and $15.00 ham certificates in advance of Christmas. This is a great way to give back to our Sailors and Marines of Naval Station Norfolk during what can be a tough time of year for many.

  • Omni was happy to sponsor the HSC-26 Homecoming event at the Norfolk International Airport. Omni provided water, cookies, donuts and candy for the families of approximately 50 squadron members. A great way to show our support.

  • In partnership with the Norfolk USO Omni sponsored the Military Appreciation Day at the Virginia Zoo. This was a great opportunity for some 8,000 active duty military and their spouses and families from all branches of service. A good time was had by all!

  • On Saturday, October 13th Omni's Norfolk office sponsored the Chili
    Cook-off held at NAS Oceana Main Gate Park. This tasty event, as you
    might expect, was a hot ticket and well attended. Seen in the photos are
    PO3 Vargas, Military Security on duty at the event, Omni Customer Care
    Specialist Oksana Guerrero and an overview of the hungry crowd ready
    to "chow down." This event was part of the Fleet Week celebration for
    the Navy's 137th Birthday. This event was a competition between
    commands for the best chili recipe. The event also featured music, kids
    play areas game, game booths and an antique car show. A good and
    filling time was had by all.

  • On Wednesday, October 3rd from 1:00PM to 3:00 PM Omni's Norfolk office was happy to be a sponsor of the annual Operation Homefront "Booties on the Ground" event for expectant mothers of the Naval Station Norfolk area. This day-long event targeted 100 junior enlisted families and was specifically tailored for the needs of families with a new baby. The event included speakers and goodie bags containing many useful items for new mothers and the new arrivals. This is just one way Omni gives back to the Norfolk military community.

  • With Chris Daughtry the headlining, Omni and the USO of Hampton Roads cosponsored the Military Appreciation Concert at the Chrysler Hall in downtown Norfolk. Active duty service members and their families were able to kick back and enjoy the goings on.

  • As a sponsor of the 12th Annual Armed services YMCA Mud Run Omni was able to help by passing out pre-race runner packets and was able to mention to some 2,000 runners that Omni's is ready to help them financially after the race. This showed Omni's support in two ways!

  • Omni GM Dan Doyle delivered a $250 check to the Hampton Roads Armed Services YMCA in support of the upcoming Holiday Assistance program These and other funds will be used to buy food to fill 1000 food bags that will be given out to needy soldiers during the holidays.

  • Dan Doyle Omni Gm delivered a $750 check to the director of the Hampton Roads Armed Services YMCA in support of their 12th Annual Mud Run. A good and messy time was had by all.

  • Omni sponsored the 8th Annual Heroes at Home Luncheon. Omni sponsorship allowed over 500 service members and their families enjoy a well deserved and relaxing event.

  • Omni was happy to sponsor Operation Homefront's 1st Annual Heroes Open Golf Tournament. .Over 100 active duty military personnel participated in this fun tournament held at Naval Station Norfolk Sewell's point Golf Course. A simple yet easy way for Omni to give back to our troops.

  • Michael Berridge of Omni Financial's Norfolk, VA office was one of two Omni volunteers packing-up much needed school supplies to be placed into pack backs for needy children of service members. This initiative was sponsored by the Armed Services YMCA and held over August 27th and 28th

  • Dan Doyle, General Manager of Omni Financial's Norfolk office and Claude Barfield, District Manager join Carol Berg, Operation Homefront Field Office Director. The goal of Operation Homefront is to assist families of deployed service members and Wounded Warriors in need. Omni was presented with a miniature shadow box for its sponsorship of the Operation Homefront "Fun Run" and a certificate of appreciation for its sponsorship of the 2012 "Back to School Brigade."
